Friday, March 28: Sorry about that, but I did like your Quad Cities airport. Wait a minute—I do know two of the Quad Cities. One is Davenport, Iowa, where I did a well-attended event at a convention center. I also taped a TV interview in a studio in Davenport right next door to the Palmer College of Chiropractic.
I had heard of that school from my father! After the interview, I got a chance to look over the campus. I reached for my BlackBerry and e-mailed Dad—since he was a chiropractor—and told him where I was. I remember Dad telling me one time that D.D. Palmer founded the nation’s first chiropractic college back in the 1890s, so the school has a rich history.
I also did an event in Moline, Illinois, which is the other Quad City that I know about. About 450 turned out, which was a great crowd. On Thursday morning, we hopped on the Perfect Weight America tour bus and ate up interstate as we headed for St. Louis. After speaking in the Gateway City, it was back on the bus for Blue Eye, Missouri, which is something like ten miles outside of Springfield. Another long drive. The area was familiar to me because Garden of Life used to have a manufacturing facility in nearby Nixa, a town of 12,000. We have since sold that manufacturing plant. While in the area, I did some TV tapings in Branson and Blue Eye.
The Perfect Weight America camera crew continues to get some great footage. This would be a good time to remind folks that we’ve got a bunch of new shows called “Perfect Weight America with Jordan Rubin” on the TBN network. You can catch me milking grass-fed cows or interviewing some of Perfect Weight Makeover families on Mondays at 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. EST (8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. PST) or Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. EST (4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. PST).
The shows are fun to watch to tell a great story along the way, so check them out.
