Next up is an article I wrote for Joyce Meyer’s magazine. Joyce is a tremendous speaker and one of the world’s leading practical Bible teachers. Throughout the year, she holds Thursday night/Friday night/Saturday conferences in major venues. This week, she’ll be at Lakewood Church in Houston (November 20-22), and then she takes a holiday break until she starts up her 2009 conference schedule in Orlando on February 19-21.

Joyce Meyer Ministries publishes a bimonthly publication called Enjoying Everyday Life that’s mailed out to more than 3 million homes around the world. They asked me to do an article for their “Health Matters” section called “Are God’s People Any Healthier?”

In the article, I remind readers that they were created in the image of God. Then I ask: Do you properly reflect His image? Are you healthy? Or do you think you’re healthy simply because there’s an absence of a grave disease in your life? Good health, I remind readers, is waking up in the morning feeling rested and ready to attack the day. Good health is thriving, not merely surviving.
