Sunday, March 16: Yes, you heard me right. Since I travel a great deal and eat out often, I have discovered a lot of great restaurants that serve healthy, organic food in this country, but one has stood out to me above all the others: Turner New Zealand, an all-organic and natural fine dining restaurant in Orange County. It’s located just steps from one of the top shopping mecca’s of the world: South Coast Plaza.

Saturday, March 15: How’s that for a teaser? I’m in Southern California this week, attending the Natural Products Expo West convention at the Anaheim Convention Center, but I spent a couple of hours yesterday morning strategizing with my team about one of the most exciting new product launches by Garden of Life that will happen next summer, most likely in August. All I can tell you is that it has something to do with “cracking the code.” Sorry that I have to keep this one close to vest, but I think we have one of the most exciting breakthroughs in nutrients coming up later this year. We have a one-third-page advertisement in our upcoming Extraordinary Health magazine that should be in health food stores in the next month, so check it out.

Wednesday, March 12: I left West Palm Beach for Southern California today. For the rest of week we have the biggest industry trade show of year. It’s called the Natural Products Expo West, and it’s held at the Anaheim Convention Center. This year, there’s a record 3,392 exhibits are on hand.

Sunday, March 9: I’m back home in Florida for one of my more extended breaks—four wonderful, glorious days. I got home Saturday morning after spending several days along the Gulf Coast. This leg of Perfect Weight America tour began on Tuesday, March 4, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana—Cajun country.

Saturday, March 8: I bet you didn’t know that South Korea is sending its first astronaut into space one month from today. On April 8, Ko San will blast into space aboard a Russian Soyuz spaceship bound for the International Space Station. While in space, Ko will be eating plenty of kimchi.

I wonder if we could live a year without these “year of” books that seem to be popular. |

Monday, March 3: If you’ve prowled around a bookstore lately, perhaps you’ve noticed a “year of” trend in which authors write about giving up Chinese toys and products (A Year Without “Made in China” by Judith Levine), eating locally and sustainably for a year (Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver), and cooking every one of the 534 recipes in Julia Child’s legendary Mastering the Art of French Cooking in a single year (Julie and Julia: My Year of Cooking Dangerously by Julie Powell).

Sunday, March 2: Another week of the Perfect Weight America Tour is in the books. I’ve been in Austin, Texas, this week, and there were several highlights. One was doing a book signing at Whole Foods new flagship store in downtown Austin. I cannot begin to tell you how massive this store was. Talk about a Texas-size store!
