| I am starting tomorrow. I had no idea what to expect. I glad to read the board. I am praying I don't get sick. I have a lot of responsibilities. Please pray for me. |

you should think about posting this on the Cleansing Chicken Soup Forum. A lot of people, including myself are having trouble downing one more spoonfull of that soup. Telling them they can have something else and still be on the cleanse would be great encouragement. And I hadn't looked at it that way, like, when you said that at least my body got three days of flushed out toxins. just a thought. |

So today is my first day on the cleanse and okay so far, but I haven't got the pill popping yet so I guess will see how it goes tomorrow. You guys have me a little worried though! I am amazed at the weightloss you all are having on this! I have already lost 30 pounds on a different diet and have 25 more to go. Is there anyone out there in a similar circumstance who is losing weight like crazy on the cleanse? I'm trying to decide if I shoul reserve me excitement over much weightloss until I find someone who has a smaller amount to lose , losing well. |

| Here's my experience so far: I began the chicken soup cleanse one day before I began the cleanse with the products from Garden of Life. I am on day 8 of the chicken soup and day 7 of the products. I had a minor headache the very first day, tons of energy the 2nd and 3rd days, then kinda had a bit of a let down with the wonderful feeling (I am sure that starting on my period was not the best thing to do during this 10 day cleanse--sheesh!) BUT, I am SO excited. I know the inches have melted away, my britches are sagging, my shirts fit loosely, and my ankles and wrists have gone down (I carry a lot of water weight). I am drinking about a gallon of water each day, and it is so easy once I started on the hydration. I will never stop with that. The only "cheats" I've had are a single cup of celestial seasonings tea each morning. The chicken soup is wonderful, but yes, it does get a bit old after that many meals. But for a cleanse, it is so worth it! The products are very easy on the system, and I am very excited to report that I haven't spent a lot of time sitting in the bathroom. In fact, I've been so surprised that there has not one time been a sense of urgency to get there. I have no scale to weigh myself, as ours is packed and we are decluttered to sell the house, but I am confident that I've lost a significant amount of weight. I can hardly wait to start the food program that Jordan Rubin preaches in his book, and in fact have been singing his praises since I first read and started eating the Maker's Diet way. This will be a piece of cake. Jordan makes it seem so natural and describes every facet of changing a lifestyle in a clearly defined manner. He makes it very to figure out, even for those who have never read labels. I'm psyched! |

it's not as bad as I thought! I have lost 4lbs in two days! I do find myself getting very hungry throughout the day though. |

I have a big question and I really hope someone can help me. I am starting the Spring/Fall Cleanse on Monday, in 2 days. In the book, Perfect Weight America, where the cleansing is broken down day by day it states to have the chicken soup at 1pm, 3:30 and 6pm for days 1-4. However, in the pages before that where he gives just an overview on the Spring/Fall cleanse he writes that you have a salad for dinner the first 4 days, and that on days 5-7 you then add raw nuts to it. This is very confusing and I really want to do the right thing. If someone can clarify this for me that would be great. Page 134 is where the overview is, 2nd paragraph. Thanks!!!!! |

| Hi Stephanie. I had my computer worked on so just got it back. I ran across your note and I can see how that can be really confusing. I had to use the book for my second cleanse. Did the winter one when I started. I started on the spring cleanse on Friday and went by the one on page 145. You can have a grapefruit at 7:30 and an orange at 10:30 but the soup the rest of the time for the 1st 4 days. I have been getting along fine on it.I'm not sure why it is different but since I started this way and am getting along fine I'm staying with it. I know he has you cleanse for your zip code. I am in Nebraska. Where are you located? Did you start on your cleanse yet? Let me know what you decided or if you have any problems I will be glad to help since I have done one already. |

Hi Stephanie
I had the same question and asked customer support at the Garden of Life site. Here is their reply:
Dear Janet,
Thank you for your email. The book is not very clear. Day 2 dinner should be the soup and salads enter the plan on day 5 such as described on pages 145-146. Hope you enjoy your soup.
In health, Mandi Product Support Garden of Life "Empowering Extraordinary Health"
Hope this helps.

Well, I didn't do very well on eatting the chicken soup. It wasn't that it didn't taste good. I did like it, but I got tried of eatting it. I had it for two days. And I put the rest of it in the freezer. How do I make myself eat it for 10 days? Denise |

Hi, don't know if you are still on this site, but I wanted to say your post inspired me. I just found out I have diabetes and I've had fibromyalgia for years and years. I need to lose over 100 pounds, and just found this site today. I was reading about the cleanse and was a little scared. Should I do the cleanse to start out with? should I substitute meals to start out? I already have problems with headaches and nausea, and my son is getting over the flu so I'm afraid to do something that might make me feel like I have it too ... won't know if it is the flu or detoxing. Have a very unhealthy lifestyle so my body might go into shock (lol?) so I just need advice if you or anyone reading this can help me out. my screen name is verity73923, and my email address is verity73923@yahoo.com. Thanks, and God bless you. |
