Dear friends,
This is something that I had my hubby print and laminate for me so that I can carry it with me to work. It is related to an article I posted on overcoming sin in today's Daily Check In. I hope that you find it helpful. You can change it to suit what the Spirit speaks to your heart in each topic (ie. Whatever is right - fill in your own words.)
I covet your prayers at this time...stress is high in my life and I want to make healthy choices, not emotionally driven ones.

"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me - put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you."
Phil. 4:8
- Whatever is right – Lord, I thank You for this temptation! You have promised to provide me a way of escaping it.
- Whatever is noble – Lord, I acknowledge that my body is not my own. It is the temple of Your Holy Spirit and I can worship You through this choice set before me. (You simply require one holy choice from me in this now moment.)
- Whatever is right – Jesus, I choose to move away from this temptation and to move into Your perfect will for me in this moment. Please show me Your will - show me what to drink or eat, if anything.
- Whatever is pure – Your Word is pure and I cherish it! I choose to speak Your Word as I move into Your will:
So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh –
for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons and [daughters] of God.
Romans 8:12-14
- Whatever is lovely – O Jesus! You are lovely! I see Your face and the radiant love in Your eyes towards me. I see my future, forever in Your Presence: a future of health, peace, vitality and joy as I love You with my whole heart; my mind, my will and my emotions.
- Whatever is admirable – Holy Spirit, show me an action I can perform in this moment that is admirable in Your sight. I want to replace facing temptation with placing my feet on the firm foundation of one holy choice – right here, right now.
- Whatever is excellent or praiseworthy – Fill my thoughts with prayers for Your saints who are serving You in the face of great obstacles. These dear ones are praiseworthy in their faithfulness and compassion!
