I went to a Genetics seminar last week. The company is launching an opportunity to get its newest products on the market without spending millions for marketing. GeneWize Llife Science has already obtained the patent for a buccal cheek swab DNA analysis, the GeneWize LifeMap Healthy Aging Assessment. The 12-gene assessment measures SNPS (single nucleotide polymorphisms) or variations in the key biochemical pathways that are important to your body’s overall health. Your health is a result of the interactions between your genes and lifestyle factors. It is your genetic make-up that determines which nutrients are used and how they are used. By adjusting your lifestyle and utilizing a targeted nutritional supplement regimen, you can have a positive impact on how your genes work and compensate for areas in which your genes are not functioning at an optimal level.
I was fascinated by the seminar, and of course, signed up so that I can see not only how this helps me, but especially my daughter and husband, who are both type 1 diabetics. They give you a print out assessment, showing you where your "good genes" and "faulty genes" (or however they're worded) are, and then they formulate a supplement (out of 177,000 ingredients) that will give you high doses of those that you need high doses in, and low doses of what you just need a little of, etc.
I just thought I'd try to get the opinion of some health professionals on their thoughts on this. They launch (and the vitamins/tests become available to customers) on August 1st.
Thanks for sharing your expert opinion.
