Hi Martha, I take Fucothin but I see no results, yet. I am only on day 5 of the cleanse. When I read the book, don't remember what page, it said it takes 5 to 6 weeks for the Fucothin to work. I really am glad that the soup is so satisfying and keeps me full. Today I did crave something else, didn't matter what, just so it was different from the soup. But I got passed it after my lunch time soup. I don't know if I have lost any weight yet as I don't have a scale that goes high enough. I am in this for the long haul. With the Lord's help I will make it. Fucothin is to be taken with food, so I take it with my breadfast, lunch and dinner soups. Nancy

Dear Martha & others in the Perfect Weight America Community:

I would like to offer a few suggestions and information that I feel would help your success with the Perfect Weight America program.

Be patient with the FucoThin. According to recent fucoxanthin (FucoThin) research studies, the saturation point where weight loss starts occurring is approximately 5 to 6 weeks. It is important to use FucoThin consistently (as directed) during this saturation period, to start obtaining successful results. FucoThin supports the breakdown of fat by working with the metabolism but it has to be taken for at least 5 - 6 weeks to start this process. You can read more about FucoThin, including a research article on our website at http://www.beyondprobiotics.net/fucothin.htm

The Perfect Weight America program is designed for healthy weight loss, which means it occurs more slowly than "fad diets" or "starvation diets." Healthy weight loss is better because it does not slow down the metabolism like these other fad diets. When you starve the body with fad diets, the metabolism slows down, so when you stop the fad diet, the weight returns quickly and more weight gain usually follows. By following the Perfect Weight America program, you are encouraging your metabolic rate to gradually increase, which makes weight loss easier and also easier to keep the extra weight off. The exercise and other support supplements are also important to keep your metabolic rate up and burn off the excess calories.

The Perfect Weight America value packs include other products to help support your weight loss goals including: Perfect Meal (fills you up and decreases hunger), Tea Trio (helps with metabolism), FucoProtein bars (healthy protein snack, contains FucoThin), Perfect Cleanse Kit (cleans out toxins and improves absorption of nutrients, which is helpful because people with poor absorption tend to over eat because they are not absorbing their  nutrients correctly), Success Journal to chart your progress, Extra Virgin Coconut oil (healthy cooking oil shown in studies to support healthy thyroid levels), Living Multi (whole-food) vitamins to ensure you are getting enough nutrients and more products. All of these support products support healthy weight loss. For more information, visit our website at: http://www.beyondprobiotics.net/pwahome.htm

To Your Health & Successful Weight Loss,

Christine Dreher, CCN, CCH

Thanks so much Christine, I just started this program, I don't even have the Book yet.  I love that you have all the talked about products on your site and the 2 kits you offer are great.  My local health food store had some of the products but not all of them and didn't have the Book.  I am so happy to have a place that carries all the products that are recommended with the Perfect Weight America Diet Plan.  Let's face it with fuel so high nobody wants to drive all over town looking for these things.  I do most of my purchasing on line these days!

I have been taking fucothin for a few months now. Thought I was only taking 3 per day , I did not realize that I could take more. So I will start taking more today!
Since taking Fucothin I have been able to get into my favorite jeans that I have not gotten into for 2 year and also a couple of dresses and sweaters that I have not been able to wear in as long. I love the results, it is slow but totally worth it. I also love the prefect meal Chocolate shakes and the fucoprotein bars.

Just bought my second bottle of fucothin and these pills are a different color that the first ones....?  Anyone on the second bottle?  My first ones were a dark green and the second bottle is more red/brown.  What color is your fucothin?

I'm having 2 problems on the program. One is, my husband is 6'5" and weighs 190, sopping wet. Our older son 6'4" and weighs about 140 and our younger son, who is a heavier build (like his mom): is 6'0" and weighs 135. They can't eat the food that's on my diet list (they would disappear!), and so I cook "real" meals for them. I really don't want to cook/make 2 meals for each meal (we homeschool, so my boys eat at home for every meal) and once I've cooked for them, of course, that's what I want to eat. Any suggestions??

My other problem is, I seem to be sensitive to the fucothin - I've gotten a migraine the day after I've taken it every time I've tried it. Is anyone else having problems with it??

And, I have a question. I haven't bought the Perfect Weight America book - our budget is tight (yours would be too, if you were feeding 2 hungry teenage boys! :) but I have read The Maker's Diet and most of The Great Physician's Rx for Health and Wellness. Has anyone read all 3 books? If so, do you think I really need to buy Perfect Weight??

Thanks and God Bless!

Dear Catherine,

I know what you are talking about!  I have two grown sons that were homeschooled also.  In PWA there is a success story of a gentleman that actually gained weight on PWA.  Eating properly helped him to reach his perfect weight.  Your "men" may do just fine.  If they are eating healthy already, you might want to add items from Phase 2 or 3 for them (majer's diet or phase 4 from PWA).   The core of all of Jordan's books are centered on eating foods God made for us.  You will probably have an equal experience going through the Maker's Diet.  I am a Biblical Health Coach for the Maker's diet and I don't see any major changes.  But I am believing that God will provide you a free copy of PWA!.  Check local health food stores, I got 5 free copies from Vitamin Shoppe to share with friends (given free with purchase deals).  in regards to the fucothin, the time lapse from the time you have symptoms makes me think that you are cleansing rather than having a sensitivity issue.  But check with a health care professional if it continues.  Headaches when you first wake up are often a thyroid/liver issue and fucothin is addresing both systems.  Keep hydrated.  All our children have graduated at least four years ago, miss those days.  Hold tight to these blessed times.

God bless, soon to be Gramma Sue

Hi Gramma Sue,

Thank you so much for your encouraging reply!  I hadn't thought about the headaches being from cleansing, rather than being caused by the fucothin.  I do get the headaches first thing in the morning - and they last all day!  I have such a big problem with migraines - and I've been eating 90% healthy for years.  I'll try the fucothin again.  Maybe if I take it for a few days in a row, the cleansing will be completed and I'll stop getting migraines after taking it.  And, I'll pray for a free copy of the book - I'm sure there are some neat new things in it.

Yes, our children do grow up much too quickly!  One of the great blessings of homeschooling is being able to spend most of the day with them.  Our older boy is going to Cedarville Univeristy (a great Christian college - but it's about 5 hours from our home) this fall, and I am cherishing every day he's still at home!  Congratulations on your soon to arrive grandbaby.  I will be watching for a birth announcement from you.

Blessings,

-Catherine

I'm beginning my 4th week of taking FUCOTHIN. I'm just starting the third bottle. When I started, I actually gained some weight, but I think it was water weight! I got really "puffy" (not PMS related) for the first week or two and my neck itched about an hour after I would take them! I had started out by taking 3 pills at a time, 3 x's a day. Then I noticed on the bottle that was for Advanced Users, so I cut back to 1-2 pills, 3x's a day and felt much better.

Since I was gaining at first, I was worried it may not be working for me, but this week I've noticed that I have much more energy, even 2 pills at a time REALLY boosts my energy. I also lost 2 lbs this past week! I'm going to stick with it for at least 8 weeks and see if I continue to see changes in my weight. What Christine D. said really makes sense. I think changes are happening and I will start losing, but its going to take time to see the results.

Melissa B - I noticed a change in the color of the gel cap too. The first two bottles were the dark green/brown color and now they are a much lighter brown color.

Hi Catherine - I had headaches to when I first started this program. But I am in my 4th week and the headaches stopped after my cleansing. It was my first cleanse ever. Fucothin has to be in your system for at least 4 weeks. I haven't lost that much weight 5lbs.....but I am dropping inches off my waist. ALso, I will be glad to send you a copy of the book if I had your address. I have read mine and my daughter in law has borrowed it, but returning it soon. If I can help, let me know!

May god bless us all! :)

HI everyone!

Catherine I ordered a copy of the book from "amazon.com" you know they sell both used and new copies.  You might want to check there if you get a chance!  I think I payed about $7.50 for my copy!

Hope this helps!

Thank you Rebecca, that's to sweet of you!  But, I don't want to take your book - you may find you need to refer back to it.  I'll just keep looking for a free display in our health food store.  They did offer free copies of The Maker's Diet a few years ago, so maybe they'll offer free copies of this one, too.

I haven't tried the cleanse yet.  But, I've totally quit eating any form of cane sugar (even the really natural ones like Rapadura and Sucanat), and chocolate, in an effort to get rid of the migraines.  Migraines have run in my family for 5 generations that I know of -- but I'm the only person who's ever tried not eating sugar!  I just stopped that this week, so we'll see if that helps.  The rest of what I've been eating has been very healthy, and I've only eaten small amounts of cane sugar (like the sugar in a dark chocolate bar, which was shared w/3 other people, so I don't think I got that much sugar).  I read Patient, Heal Thyself when it came (I think in 2004) and then read The Maker's Diet when it came out and I've been pretty much following the food recommendations in those books (plus I'm gluten-intolerant and also bothered by soy and corn, so I don't eat those foods) so I'm hoping I'm pretty clear.  But, if eliminating sugar and chocolate doesn't help, I may try the cleanse next...

I hope you start loosing the weight soon.  I think sometimes it just takes your body a while to be willing to "give up" what it's holding on to!

Blessings,

Catherine

I have had headaches that last the better part of the day, severe diarrhea and some problems with an upset stomach.  I cant tell if it is from the fucothin or the cleanse.  Did you have any problems with your stomach when you first started the program?

Hi Julie,

I'm sorry you're not feeling well!  I did have problems when I first used the fucothin (my post about that is in here somewhere).  I had migraines the next time every time I took it.  Someone else in this group said it was probably as a result of the fucothin causing cleansing, rather than me actually having a sensitivity to the fucothin.  So, I tried taking it again, and sure enough, after a couple days, I felt better.  I don't remember for sure if I had darrhea or not.  I frequently get that when I have a migraine anyway, so it might have happened and I just chalked it up to my usual problems I get w/migraines.  But, it did not upset my stomach.  Are you taking the fucothin after you eat?  If not, try eating first, then taking it.

Also, I'm wondering if you might have a bug.  At least where I live, there is a lot of stuff going around.

I hope you feel better soon!

Blessings,

-Catherine

Catherine,

Thanks for your response. I am feeling a little better this morning, the headaches have stopped but still having some stomach problems. Today is day 4 of the cleanse and I have lost a total of 6.4 pounds but I am pretty sure that the weight loss is due to not feeling well. Are you taking Vitamins along with the Fucothin?

I also had a headache the first 3 days of taking the fuccothin and I was not cleansing at the time.  I'm very sensitive to caffeine so I thought there might be some in it and discontinued for 2 days with no headached.  I started it again and had a mild headache but took it again the second day without a headache.  I'm certain it was the fuccothin though I don't understand why but now I'm taking it regularly, 1 pill, 3x a day and will increase slowly.  I'm very patient and will continue to take it whether i see instant results or not.

I had a headache the first three days I took Fuccothin too, BUT I think they were caused by sugar and caffiene withdrawls - not from the Fuccothin. (for me anyway) I started off taking 3 pills, 3 times per day - Today is Day 5, so far so good, no headache at all.
