Hello PWA!

My name is Pamela.  I live in Sunny Southern California.  I am a life coach, actress, director, mother, wife, poet and over all kind, emotionally healthy person.

I have experienced many types of physical manifestations of illness, medical diagnosis, that were treated by traditional meds and did not create healing so much as offer a band-aid.

In my life I have been diagnosed with Rapid Cycler Bipolar Disorder, Immune Deficiency, Hypo-Thyroid, L4- L5 Herniation of lumber spine (x's 2) that was supposed to leave me in a wheel chair (ununh!)  I experienced Viral Meningitis, diagnosed and hospitalized three times.  I took a simple sore throat into strep and all the way through Rheumatic Fever. This took months to be diagnosed and it was my own will, strength and research that finally led to a diagnosis.  The healing process was a year's investment in my self and doing the mind body work to create change.  I am basically sharing with you that I have been in the experience of Doctors not knowing, guessing and medicating to offer something to me in hopes that I will go away.  I have had months of not knowing what was wrong but knowing that something certainly was not right!  I have healed from all of these DX. through my personal work, training and belief system.   I believe most of my diagnosis began early on from what I now know to be connected to the idea of GAP ( The study of Gut & Psychology). I am on a mission to figure out the mystery of my body, learn it, heal it and while doing so help my family begin to understand the link genetically between us.

While I have healed from these DX. and am no longer on any traditional, medical treatments of any kind (successful for a number of years!)  I feel there is more, much more, I can do.  I began reading Jordan's work about a year ago.  I have a few of the Garden of Life products that I like.  I am growing and learning more and finding that I still do not know enough about how my body works, the links and effects of this to my spiritual, emotional and mental health and am going to find out.  I still deal with weight gain, addiction tendency, and confusion about "what and when" in answer to my bodies dietary needs.  I believe I can learn this through Jordan.  I believe commiting to a year with PWA will be an effective and enlightening tool for me and my family.

I have asked some of my family to join me on this journey.  So far my sister, Cece, and I are on board.

My family has generations of gastro-intestinal disorders, mood dis-orders, addictions to alcohol and drug use ( over the counter and RX).

Diagnosed disorders of all kinds treated by traditional medicines and doctors who were doing the best they could.  They have helped with things like Cece's Acute M. Leukemia.  Saved her life.  However, due to what proceeded the illness, and the treatments to cure it, her body has been left in terrible condition and she is miserable.  So they have given her new meds to help her, meds that only guess and are no where close to being as accurate as the way they wiped out the cancer.  Here body is depleted and I believe Jordan's program can help her turn her life around.  You will hear from her soon!

I am hoping that my mom, Carmen, my sister, Janna and perhaps sister's Claudia & Cindy will join Cece and I this week as we begin our journey to the PWA!  My goal weight is 137.  My focus is wellness, strength and to learn as much about my body, how it works and what goes in it,  as I know about my purse!  Silly, but true, and I don’t know enough about my car to reference that!

Our bodies are such a gift, and it boggles my mind how little I know of the workings of her.

Thanks for reading, I offer you, in our on line community, my support on your journey and would be interested in hearing your story as well.

Blessings of wellness

pamela

What a story, Pamela! I'm in Dallas, and my husband and I have a background in theatre, so I was interested to read that in your post. We own a yoga studio here in Dallas. I'm crunched for time, so I can't post much more now, but wanted to respond to your post.
