Hi Tricia!

I am starting today too! I too, have tried before w/o success as well. I have got to make changes. I have no energy, have health issues, and I need to loose alot of weight. I will be checking in here everyday as I need encouragement and motivation to stay on track. I will check in and see how you are doing.

Hello all,
This is my first day also. Have the book and the pills...trying to figure it all out. I need to get healthy also. This seems like a good place to begin!

This is great! I am so happy to hear that others are starting with me. I have had a great day so far. I went to the gym this morning, and I am off to Trader Joes soon! Are any of you thinking about doing the cleanse???

Yes, I am doing the cleanse! I am a little nervous about it though as I can't imagine eating chicken soup for 10 days!!!!! Yikes! My husband is going to do it with me so I think that will help keep me going. I am having a great day too! I just finsihed my lunch (egg salad wraps) and I couldn't finish it because I was too full! Thats a good sign I guess.

Hi, Tricia, Cari, and Sandra! Welcome! I'm so glad you are starting! I have done the Maker's Diet, The Great Physicians RX diet, and PWA so hopefully I can be of some help and encouragement! I have a thread under the Public Pages and Testamonials section here in the message boards if you want to join our little group (well, Cari already has! Yay!). The thread is Need Support and Encouragment.

I'm doing the Cleanse starting Jan. 5th. So ready to get back on track now that the holidays have passed!

I failed yesterday:( I did great until I was out and did not plan a snack, so I had a larabar. Then at my work Christmas party they had tons of deep fried, breaded foods, which I did not eat because I cannot have gluten. But.... I did have a glass of wine...or two.... I am starting over, and I will be more prepared.

Hi Tricia,

I wouldn't say you failed. You made some good choices and some not so good. Thats ok. Today is a new day!

I am also doing the cleanse and like you can't imagine eating soup for a week. I did the fall cleanse and it was hard the first day or so but it did get easier. I lost 5 lbs but it didn't all stay off once I started eating again.

Tricia you can do it. Planning is the most important but no one's perfect. I cheat more often than I should but as long as you don't get down on yourself and make more good choices than bad, I would say you're a success.

I think that I am going to pass on the cleanse this time around. I feel like if I restrict myself to much, then I really overeat. Can you have spaghetti squash in phase 1?

Hi Tricia,

In the PWA book, Jordan says that you can have summer or winter squash in Phase 1.

Hi everyone,

I will start my diet on Monday. Just a few pointers for those of us who need encouragement; think of this diet as a new way of eating, do not focus on the fact that you need to lose weight .Do not weigh in too often because your body reacts acconding to the types of food you eat. Take time to excercise. If you have been inactive, start slowly and gradually add time and difficulty to your workout. If you fall off the wagon, jump right back  the next meal or the next snack do not wait until the next day.I know we all heard or read this before but the more we read or hear about, the faster we will stick to it. Remember, we will reach our perfect weight one meal at a time.

Hi everyone, I started the cleanse on Monday. This is my 3rd day of it and I'm finding it hard to not munch. I never realized how often I just want to pick up a piece of fruit or grab a piece of cheese or even a pickle! I think its a chewing thing since I felt much better last night when I was able to eat salad. I really hope I can stay on this and make a change in my eating habits. It seems since having kids I've slipped into a more lax menu selection, if it was fast and easy to prepare then it was for me but I know going back to a more whole foods, natural way of eating will do my whole family good. Does the cleanse get easier? I mean I'm not sure if I'll be able to only have the chicken soup all day for 7 days with only a salad at night to curb my need to munch even the addition of yogurt on days 8-10 may not help. Is it ok to munch on a couple of carrots throughout the day? Any help or advise would be appreciated. Thanks.
